Good Morning Fairbanks

Got up early this morning though it was hard to sleep considering it
never got dark at all. It was bright enough to read by at midnight.
Got some rain and it's a bit colder than it has been so far. I went
for a swim and met a German family of 4 that has, for the past 4
years, been coming to Alaska for these wild vacations. They are going
by canoe down a couple of long rivers where there is no road or
vehicle access. They are going to be in the wilderness for 2 months
and have to pretty much take everything that they need with them. The
villages that they come across will be able to supply them with
emergency food and supplies, but for the most part they have to bring
everything. Pretty neat and I wish them the best of luck, especially
since they will not even have a cell phone.

 Incredible.

Crazy frozen lake action in the Rockies

These were amazing icicle formations in the lake. It made an amazing clicking sound that moved in waves. Top ten coolest natural things I have seen. Can't recall the name but will once I look ata map.

We made it to Alaska

Took a lot longer than we thought it would. Spent two nights in the Canadian Rockies which was pretty incredible. We have seen a lot of wildlife:
8 moose
1 fox
6 big horn sheep
8 black bear
5 grizzlies
1 porcupine
2 deer
2 caribou
2 extremely stinky men.

Pretty fired up to have a slightly relaxed evening before heading to the arctic circle tomorrow. Having breakfast in Tok, AK
